Sometimes being as green as I want to be is not always the most economical option. I’ve really been enjoying this site ThriftyAndGreen that explores these ideas in all areas from home & family to green business. It has a decidedly US bent but I still find most of the content is relevant being in Canada.

Diversity

One of the biggest draws about heading into the Virtual Assistant arena has been the opportunity for diversity. From the people I would get to meet and work with, to the industries I would learn about and the different projects I would get to tackle.

And it’s coming to fruition in a big way. At the moment I’m handling the operations of a satellite office of an award winning web design company, designing marketing materials for a bridal fair, designing and implementing a filing system for the Vancouver Downtown Eastside Neighborhood House, and in the fall I’ll be working with a Canadian Immigration Relocation Consultant.

How cool is that?

Having a Gas

I’ve been working in Gastown this week and can’t believe how quick it is to get here.

Never mind the great spots to have lunch – it’s been a real treat to visit Gastown every day this week.

Now, that’s not to say I don’t love being a VA and being able to work remotely – but hey… when in Rome!
